Last night was Alex Rodriguez's first appearance after admitting to steroid use as the Yankee's kicked off their spring training opening game against the Toronto Blue Jays. Amidst the boo's, taunting and offside Madonna remark's A-Rod managed to homer and draw two walks to lead the Yankee's to a 6-1 victory over the Jays.

The crowd of 5,014 filling the Dunedin Stadium in Florida began to simmer down as the three-time AL Allstar hit a two run, tie-breaking ball off of Ricky Romero in the fourth.

"This is what I do. I know how to play baseball," Rodriguez said. "I just hope that the start of something really special for this year. I feel really good about our team."

By the end of the fifth inning the cheers drowned out the confused A-Rod opposers as he signed autographs and called it a night. The Yankee's play their first home exhibition game tonight against Tampa Bay.
