New York Yankees shortstop Alex Rodriguez has reached a divorced settlement with his wife of nearly six years, Cynthia. The two reached an "amicable settlement" just three months after Cynthia Rodriguez filed for divorce thanks in part to a prenuptial agreement.

According to the divorce papers, Cynthia Rodriguez claimed that A-Rod was unfaithful, fueling rumours of an affair between the Yankees slugger and pop singer Madonna. Both Rodriguez and Madonna have denied having an affair.

Like A-Rod, Cynthia Rodriguez has also had to deny a romantic link to a musician.

At the height of the nasty mud slinging, Cynthia Rodriguez fled to Paris to stay at rocker Lenny Kravitz's pad.

Kravitz was forced to issue a statement denying rumors that he and Cynthia Rodriguez were having an affair.

In response to Cynthia's divorce petition, A-Rod conceded their marriage was "irretrievably broken," but demanded that allegations of his "extramarital affairs" be stricken from all court records.
