Former NBA player Rodney Rogers suffered a serious injury in an ATV accident and is now paralyzed from the shoulders down.

The retired NBA forward, who played for eight NBA teams including the Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets, was riding his all-terrain vehicle outside Raleigh, NC when he was thrown from the vehicle.

Reports state that Rogers is paralyzed from the shoulders down, though it remains to be seen whether the injury is permanent.

The 6'7" Rogers played for seven NBA teams during his career and was known as an athletic big man with a great shooting touch. After basketball, Rogers returned to his home state of North Carolina and worked for the city of Durham's Public Works Department as a heavy equipment operator even though he was set for life financially.
