Ron Artest Sported New Blonde Hair During the Lakers Game Against Orlando. The New 'Do Features the Word 'Defense' Written in Japanese, Hebrew and Hindi.

Do not adjust your television set, Ron Artest's hair really looks like that. The Los Angeles Lakers forward decided to paint his hair gold with the the word "defense" written in Japanese, Hebrew, and Hindi.

Ron Artest got his new haircut sometime between Saturday's practice and Sunday's game between the Lakers and Orlando Magic.

So why did Ron Artest color his hair? Who knows why Artest does anything? The guy has always been a free spirit to put it mildly.

The new hairdo could signal a renewed commitment to defence. Artest recently said that he has lost weight to boost his defensive play. Maybe writing 'defence' in several languages on his head is just another sign of his commitment.

You can check out Artest's Twitpic account for plenty of Ron Artest 'Defence' Hair Photos
