Toronto Blue Jays' Doc (Roy Halladay) is on track for his second AL Cy Young Award.

Halladay as the Blue Jays ace posted the 43rd complete game of his career and third this season in a 4-0 win over the visiting Kansas City Royals.

What factors can stop Doc from winning the Cy Young?

1. his health - i.e. In 2005, he was on track for the award and his leg was broken.
2. Another candidate -
Halladay has had several Cy Young-worthy seasons throughout his career, but he sometimes seems cursed by the Bridesmaid Syndrome. That is, he often comes up short to another candidate who pulls away from the field. Although Halladay might be that candidate this year, history hasn’t been on his side.

This time around Zack Greinke of Kansas City having good season so far. But,

Once they Royals fade from the limelight, don’t be surprised to see Greinke do the same.

Halladay is already halfway to the third 20-win season of his career and is on track to improve on the personal-best 22 victories he posted in his Cy Young season in 2003.

What's up Doc? Its AL Cy Young Award!!

There is no pitcher in baseball today who can equal Roy Halladay. Not this year. Not last year. Go back to the year 2002 ---no pitcher can equal him in this century at least. It's time the baseball writers got their heads out of their a***s and voted for the right candidate.
