Wales vs Australia: Battle for 3rd in 2011 Rugby World Cup

Wales and Australia will battle it out for third place in the 2011 Rugby World Cup. The Bronze Final match starts in Auckland at 8:30pm local time on October 21; that's 3:30am ET/12:30am PT. Set your alarm clock early, or just stay at the sports bar.

Here's how to follow the game live:

Bryce Lawrence will not be refereeing this match. Wales has been performing admirably at the 2011 Rugby World Cup, before being unseated by one point at the hands of France, who proceed to the final against host team the All Blacks.

The Welsh are as fired up as they can get, and are ramping the trash talk, albeit often from a safe distance of thousands of miles away. Australia's Nathan Sharpe will be looking for a win in his 100th test match-- he's only the fifth Australian to get into triple digits.

Australia lost to New Zealand in the semi-finals; a matchup with the hosts was inevitable as the All Blacks ripped their way through the tournament on home turf, destroying every team that has stood in their path... including France, whom they face again on October 23 in the final.

So, for Wales and Australia, it's all about pride. This will easily be as good a game as NZ-France on October 23 (if not better, since we got a bit of a sneak preview of that matchup during the pool stage).

If you aren't keen to wake/stay up that early, RWC 2011 video highlights will be easy to find via the links above, or with The Guardian.
