Dubai: Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and South African batsman Jacques Kallis share the number one spot in test cricket as batsman. Both have displayed outstanding performances in the just concluded three match test series in South Africa.

            According to the rankings released by the ICC here on Friday. They both shared the first spot with 883 points each. Srilankan batsman Sangakkara is just one point behind them with 882.

This is the tenth time for Sachin to occupy the number one spot. He scored 146 runs in the last test and scored his 50th century in the second test. Kallis has scored two centuries (161 and 109 not out). He moved four places up to occupy the first place. Indian dashing opener Virender Sehwag has slipped to sixth place from his fourth. Lakshman retains in ninth place. Indian opener Gautam Gambhir is in the 5th place. Harbhajan Singh is the only Indian in the top ten rankings for bowlers. He occupies 8th place.
