India’s cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is an ardent devotee of Bhagavan Satya Sai Baba. The nation watched the distress he was driven into when Baba was ill. Sachin, a courageous man who did not leave cricket ground and his game even when he heard the news of his father’s death, was deeply upset by the ill health of Baba. He has shed tears and prayed for the recovery of the man whom he venerated as God.  Now Sachin wants  his association with Puttaparti and Bhagavan Baba immortal, by presenting a gold plated idol of Baba to Prasanti Nilayam.

When he was asked about the idol he was planning to present to Prasanti Nilayam, Sachin said it was his personal faith and said he did not want to elaborate on it. He says though Baba was not physically with him, he would always be by his side. “He is my strength. Though his leaving for the heavenly abode has created a great void, I will always remember the lessons he taught me.” Sachin said.
