The Screen Actor's Guild Awards took place Sunday night. The SAG Awards, which like the Golden Globe are seen as a prelude to the Oscars, honors the best acting in film and television. While The Curious Case of Benjamin Button led the way in terms in Screen Actors Guild nominations, it failed to take home any major awards. As for television, NBC's 30 Rock dominated the category while the cast of Mad Men took home an award for Best Ensemble in a Dramatic Series.

Male Actor in a Leading Role - Sean Penn, Milk

Female Actor in a Leading Role - Meryl Streep, Doubt

Male Actor in a Supporting Role - Heath Ledger, The Dark Knight

Female Actor in a Supporting Role - Kate Winslet, The Reader

TV winners:

Ensemble in a Dramatic Series - The cast of Mad Men

Male Actor in a Dramatic Series - Hugh Laurie, House

Female Actor in a Dramatic Series - Sally Field, Brothers & Sisters

Ensemble in a Comedy Series - The cast of 30 Rock

Male Actor in a Comedy Series - Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock

Female Actor in a Comedy Series - Tina Fey, 30 Rock

Male Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries - Paul Giamatti, John Adams

Female Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries - Laura Linney, John Adams
