San Diego Rock 'n' Roll Marathon 2009: Results & Photos

Morocco's Khalid El Boumlili won the 12th Rock 'n' Roll Marathon in San Diego, CA. El Boumlili took 2 hours, 11 minutes, and 16 seconds to complete the San Diego Marathon route.

Kenya's Samuel Mugo finished in second with a 2:12.37, followed in third by Tesaya Tola of Ethiopia.

Russia's Yuliya Gromova won the women's category for the second year in a row, with a winning time of 2:27.36. Kenya's Hellen Kimutai placed second in 2:29.32.

El Boumlili is hoping that the win will earn him a roster spot on Morocco's team at the Track and Field Championships at Berlin in August.
