At the end of the six days of racing first and sixth place were separated by only 21 seconds. This is the second time that Andre Greipel has ridden to victory in the Tour.
American champion, George Hincapie, BMC Racing Team, finished 29 seconds off to place twelfth overall. Multi-winner of the Tour de France, Lance Armstrong, Team RadioShack, placed 25th with a lag time of one minute, three seconds.
