Racy pictures of Scotty Lago with his bronze medal surfaced today. American halfpipe medalist Scotty Lago was seen having a bit too much fun with his fan on street in Vancouver. TMZ obtained photos of Scotty Lago wearing a Team USA t-shirt with a woman kneeling below his waist to kiss Lago's bronze medal.

Scotty Lago apologized to US Olympic committee officials and the US Ski and Snowboard Association. Scotty Lago decided to go home after this unexpected incident.

While photos like this are taken everyday in parties, the US Olympic Committee emphasizes that athletes must be on their best behavior during Olympic games.

that is simply harmless what she was doing, how ridiculous to blow this situation out of proportion, Lago should have stayed and enjoyed his medal win at the Olympics

How f'ing retarded, good god what is this world coming to?  Action sports is a constant party, leave the guy alone, he didn't do it on the mountain, this whole internet is big brother to everyone, and everyone watching and photographing everyone for a buck.... Go Scotty!

I personally find it a sad reflection on American society that there is so much attention given to trivialities and so little given to genuine virtue. Americans should be celebrating Scotty's victory for the USA !! Is this what we are about ? Have these critics considered the good that could come from exposing the unique qualities and character that it took for Scotty to get to the Olympics and win an olympic medal for our country ? Scotty Lago is a role model and a champion.  Thank you Scotty for bringing glory to America and CONGRATULATIONS on your success !!

If you think winning is a 'virtue' then go check the definition.  Being a great athlete doesn't just mean winning.  It was stupid of this guy to act so dumb on the street.

One more thing... For those who are ever-so-quickly throwing stones at Scotty, have you ever in you life had a moment when you perhaps said or done something that you thought afterwards wasn't a great idea?? The answer is yes, it's human nature, WE'VE ALL DONE IT!Why should a World Class Athlete have to be so shamed that he feels the need to pack up and leave the experience of the Olympics that he's worked his entire life for, all because of people's opinion??  To me the shame is not in him... it's in people who feel the need to pick other's apart. I'm proud of you Scotty!  ~ dee, from Alaska!

akshivers,Yes! I have done something stupid and regretted it. And I was usually held responsible for my stupidity, endured the consequences, and  made an effort to atone. Isn't that your experiences with stupid acts too? Hmmm...seems Scotty has gone through that exact sequence also. I think it is kind of a trivial thing, but the USOC makes the rules and sets a high bar of decorum that was no secret (that decorum was also ignored with foul language in front of live prime-time cameras at the Halfpipe). In other words, Scotty knew those waters were dangerous when he went in. I too am proud of Scotty with his decision to defuse the situation by leaving before he was asked to leave. Consequences are part of the package and I think he has learned that today.

He is young and immature. Yeah, maybe a small matter, but he needs to realize that he represents the US in a very public forum as a medalist. Kick his ass out. I bet you he wont repeat the same mistake again. Nothing wrong with a little discipline. Not all about YOU anymore, Scotty!

I'm glad. You people need to starting showing some respect for something other than where's the next party. And ladies out there, shame on you!!! Did he pay you for that behavior? If not, you need to find a good john if that's the behavior you wish to follow. You're mom and dad most be so proud.

We have all done something stupid and regretted it. I agree with that. What is sad is that if we had done what Lago did our consequence would just be embarressment but an athlete's consequence is much greater (being asked to leave the Olympics) just for the fact he is an athlete. Some people feel that athlete's should be held to a higher standard of moral conduct because they are good at a sport and a role model to others. They are just humans like the rest of us. Some of these athletes are very young and get caught up in the excitement and then do something stupid. But asking him to leave?
