The event is held at the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina in early May. It was first played in 2003 as the Wachovia Championship and has attracted some of the top players on the tour.

The final leader board for 2009 showed Sean O'Hair as the winner with Bubba Watson coming in second, Lucas Glover taking third and Tiger Woods alone in fourth position.

Sean O'Hair survived a bogey-bogey finish to win the Quail Hollow Championship, carding a three-under 69 for a one-stroke victory in the 6.4 million-dollar tournament.

Woods finished with 10 straight pars for a 72 that left him alone in fourth place on 279.

Woods stayed around to to congratulate O'Hair, who was holding 4-year-old daughter Molly.

"He's got all the talent. We know that," Woods said. "We've seen how well he's played. He's been through a lot off the golf course, and it's just a matter of time before all that settles in."

"It feels so good, especially finishing the way I did," O'Hair said. "I played so good on the back."
