Serena Williams Had a Bit of a Meltdown and Launched a Rant at an Umpire During the US Open 2011 Women's Final. What Did Serena Williams Say? Here is the Video
Serena Williams lost the 2011 US Open final. She also lost her cool. During her loss to Samantha Stosur on September 11, 2011, Serene Williams unloaded a rant toward umpire Eva Aderaski.
The Serena Williams meltdown came in the first game of the second set of the 2011 US Open women's final. Williams hit what appeared to be a forehand winner to save a break point, but Williams made a noise just before the ball landed. Chair umpire Eva Asderaki called Williams for a violation and the point was awarded to Stosur.
Williams went over to talk to Asderaki, saying, "I'm not giving her that game."
Williams also said: "I promise you, that's not cool. That's totally not cool."
Other quotes from Serena Williams meltdown:
"If you ever see me walking down the hall, look the other way."
"You're out of control. ... You're a hater, and you're just unattractive inside."
"Really, don't even look at me."
