Shane Dronett, a former member of the NFL's Atlanta Falcons, was found dead in his Atlanta home Wednesday. A cause of death has yet to be determined.

According to Gwinnett County police, officers responded to a 911 suicide call at the 38-year-old's home. The case is being investigated by the medical examiner’s office and a report might be available as soon as tomorrow.

A native of Bridge City, Texas, Dronett played at Bridge City High School and went on to become an All-American at the University of Texas. He was selected in the second round of the 1992 draft by the Denver Broncos and ended his career with the Falcons.

Dronett was survived by his wife and their two children.

UPDATE: On Jan. 23, Gwinnett County medical examiners ruled Dronett's death a suicide.
