I wasnt sure what was newsworthy in this story. News should always be about posting current stuff - new things you've discovered.
Please review What Makes News News. It can really help if you follow the old "W5" news formula -- making sure you have answered the questions: Who? What? Where? When? And Why? (You might want to check out our J-Tips for more help.)
Could you fill your story out a little more so readers can understand the context of your video? Thank you.
shaneksmith, I think your story has potential but needs some improvement. I've got a few suggestions, and if you give them a try, I'd be happy to remove this flag.

Hi Shane, this isn't quite a story, standing on its own. It does provide a weblink to a promotional webpage for your business, which looks like a lot of fun, but that link alone isn't a story. That's what the other two editors are trying to tell you.
As it is, it just looks like an advertisement. Is there some way that you can find a news resource and develop a story? I'm sure we'd all like to enjoy a good summer activity style news story.
The link above goes to a story about Frisbee Flying Discs
as the activity relates to burning calories by a featured Rookie from your
website. The Rookie and the Story have
already made the front page of your website.
She has received over 400 + views on this story alone. I was contacted by an intern of Now Public
that a photo of mine was used. I liked
the article and made comments. My
intention was to upload the video in question to this story. I first tried to upload 6 videos however the
uploads failed. This morning I reduced
the size of one video to 10mb. I
uploaded the video to what I thought would
end up on this kind writers blog that was already featured. Instead I get lessons from 2 Now Public staff
giving me the 5w’s of news reporting.
I may have simply uploaded the video to the wrong page.
Hi Shane, thanks for writing back. So it sounds like you're saying that there may be a technical problem?
You're actually trying to upload this to an already-existing story, is that correct? Did you go to that story and click on the "upload" button?
As far as size of things goes--I'm so sorry, I don't have a clue. A good idea would be for you to a) check out the Newsroom and see what they have to say in the Video section and b) contact staff member Jordan Yerman, who's our champion bug man.
Good luck. I hope it all works out. Using any new site often is trial-and-error!
It does seem as though you've found, as you said, two live bugs. NP has been transitioning through some great new changes, and part of that is that the little techn thingys get all un-thingyed. ;}
I truly think that your best option is to write Jordan, who's a cool guy and he understands the tech thingys and can round 'em up and make 'em behave. He'll also be able to answer your question about the size of the files we can upload.

Yes!
"Did you go to that story and click on the "upload" button?"
Yes!
Two live bugs are on your editorial staff. As far as your technical problems go I may find time to write Yerman.
