Sidney Crosby Out for 2 Games Due to This Hit

Pittsburgh Penguins star and Canadian Olympic hero Sidney Crosby will have to miss two games after a center-ice collision with teammate Chris Kunitz during Pittsburgh's November 5 game against Boston. You can see the Sidney Crosby hit video below: he and Kunitz seem to hit their knees, and neither missed any ice time due to the collision.

Sidney Crosby didn't seem to hit his head, and initial concussion tests indicated that Crosby was okay. However, he suffered two head injuries within a week early this year.

Those hits caused Crosby to miss ten months of ice time, and he has only been back for eight games. Sidelining Sidney Crosby is a precaution; apparently Pittsburgh is worried enough about his general condition to keep him out of action.

Penguins GM Ray Shero said was, "Sidney took a hard hit during our game against Boston Monday night and wasn't feeling 100 percent".

Crosby, who has 12 points in eight games since returning. He practiced today with the team but did not accompany the club to Philadelphia for its game Thursday. The Penguins visit the New York Islanders on Saturday.

Pittsburgh lost to Boston, 3-1.
