Sidney Crosby is a runner of one of the legs of the Olympic torch relay on this cross Canada journey.  On November 18th Sidney Crosby ran the torch through downtown Halifax streets lined with admiring fans.  The torch will be stopping in every province and territory before ending up back in Vancouver in time for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games.
Sidney was very gracious for the honor of carrying the torch.  He is quoted as saying:

"It's something I really felt fortunate to be able to do. Did not want to pass it up. It's not just about me being able to pass the torch to another person this is a celebration of the whole country and I just felt so honored to do it whether I played hockey or I was just a local person carrying the torch."
