Simona Halep Criticized By Alena Schurkova For Breast Reduction

Romanian tennis player Simona Halep has caused a bit of a stir by planning to undergo breast reduction surgery in an effort to improve her game.

The 17-year-old tennis prospect claims that her large chest has negatively impacted her game.

"The breasts make me uncomfortable when I play,” the Sun quoted her as saying.
"It''s the weight that troubles me - my ability to react quickly," she added.

Needless to say, many of Halep's fans--most of them male--are up in arms over her decision. They even flocked to sign an online petition (Lord knows they always work) entitled Save Simona Halep Boobs.

Another dissenter is volleyball player Alena Schurkova. The zaftig Czech-born athlete says her large assets didn't prevent her from becoming one of South Africa's top ranked volleyball players.

"If she does this it sends out the message that girls with big boobs can't play sports and that is just wrong.

"I am 32E and I have never found them to be a problem.
