The two Williams sisters - Venus and Serena - have powered their way to the Wimbledon semifinals on Tuesday.
Venus defeated Agniezka Radwanska of Poland 6-1,6-2 in classic power tennis in the first quarterfinals, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Her sister,Serena also triumphed 6-2,6-3 over Victoria Azarenka of Belarus in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals.
The Williams' proud father and teacher,Richard Williams, who watched them in the Friends Box,leaped to his feet when Venus produced a powerful backhand shot and demolished Radwanska in the 68-miniute match.
Venus,two-time defending champion and five-time champion, won her 9th consecutive victory at Wimbledon extending her consecutive sets winning streak to 32.
It is the longest at Wimbledon since tennis legend Martina Navratilova's 40 consecutive sets streak in the 1982 through 1985 finals.
