Slain Boxer Arturo Gatti: Wife Admits to Fight Before His Death
The wife of the former Canadian boxer Arturo Gatti has been arrested and admitted that the two had a fight the night before he was found dead.
Gatti's wife Amanda Rodrigues, 23, was taken into custody on Sunday in northeastern Brazil after Gatti's body was found in a hotel room. Rodrigues is under investigation after police asked why she was in the room with his body for 10 hours before calling police.
Brazilian police accused her in Gatti's death, and prosecutors would decide if she'll face charges.
Gatti's wife Amanda Rodrigues, 23, was taken into custody on Sunday after she gave contradictory statements to police, Brazilian authorities said.
On Monday morning, it was reported that Rodrigues told police that Gatti was drunk and someone else probably murdered him after he went alone to their apartment after they had a fight.
