SLPL 2012: ESPN to live telecast & YouTube to do live streaming

ESPN Sports will live telecast the Sri Lanka Premiere League live in about 80 countries. While YouTube will be live streaming the event. The live streaming can be watched here.

The SLPL will be played in Sri Lanka from August 11-31, 2012. See live scores.

ESPN will telecast the event live in India, while Geo Super will air it in Pakistan, CRIC ONE in the Middle East, GTV in Bangladesh and Media NET in Maldives.

The SLPL is named as the Mahindra Sri Lanka Premier League which will be kicked off today with a grand opening ceremony at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium. Check the SLPL schedule here.

Seven teams are participating in the SLPL 2012 which are Kandurata Kites, Uthura Oryxes, Wayamba Wolves, Nagenahira Nagas, Ruhuna Rhinos, Basnahira Bears, and Uva Unicorns.

Twenty-four matches will be played including two semifinals and a final.

Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara and West Indies' opener Chris Gayle have pulled out of the SLPL 2012 due to injuries.
