November 1, 2011- It's that time again the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers will play in their 2nd Annual Smash-Mouth Bowl 2K11 this coming Sunday November 6th. The Ravens dominated the Steelers in Baltimore on opening day 35-7 to hand Pittsburgh a devastating loss to it's divisional arch-rival.

Last season both teams came into the game with identical 8-3 records. This season Pittsburgh has a half-game lead with a 6-2 record. The Ravens will come into Heinz Field with a 5-2 campaign on the season. The Steelers are playing their best football of the season after a 25-16 win over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots this past Sunday.

The Ravens on Sunday came from a 21-point deficit (a new team record) to defeat the Arizona Cardinals 30-27.

The game in Baltimore last December 5, 2010 was a heavyweight throw-down that came down to a Troy Polamalu knock-out shot on Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco late in the 4th quarter that resulted in the winning touchdown off a blitz fumble for Pittsburgh that gave them a 13-10 hard-nosed victory.

October 31st - November 6th will be "Smash-Mouth Bowl Week 2K11" in both cities of Pittsburgh and Baltimore. The City of Baltimore wrote a Proclamation for last year's game proclaiming December 5, 2010 as "Smash- Mouth Sunday" in Baltimore for all the Ravens fans. The game will be aired prime-time on Sunday Night Football just like last-year's contest.

The winner of this game will be in the driver's seat to a possible playoff first-round bye and trip to the AFC Championship Game. The Steelers won last year. They had a first-round bye, won the AFC Championship, and played in Super Bowl 45. They lost the game to the Green Bay Packers, but their Super Bowl run started after the Smash-Mouth Bowl 2K10.
