Vancouver is set to welcome the Olympic Games in 22 days, but the weather does not seem to be cooperating. Winters are usually mild in Vancouver, but the pre-Olympic winter months have been especially warm. So warm in fact that the Cypress Mountain, an Olympic venue for snowboarding and freestyle skiing, was shut down for recreational use to preserve whatever snow was left on the slopes.

Now, there are speculations Olympic officials are planning to truck in missing snow for the Games. It turns out Vancouver Organizing Committee is faced with having to get snow from elsewhere, because it is too warm to make artificial flurries in Vancouver. Many Vancouverites are now wondering how much extra cost bringing in the extra snow will add to an already overbrimming Olympic bill.

"Our team is up there working 24/7 dealing with the situation that is unfolding," Furlong said on Wednesday.

He said organizers are optimistic enough snow can be trucked in, moved down the mountain and even helicoptered in to help bolster the snowpack.

"He said organizers are optimistic enough snow can be trucked in, moved down the mountain and even helicoptered in to help bolster the snowpack."If only they would use the same effort and resources to help the homeless.  Why not helicopter the homeless into houses that the tax payers have already paid for and built?

You folks need snow?  We had some in North Carolina but it melted.  Check out Alaska.  Sara will give it up.
