A football fan has been banned from attending English football matches for three years after punching a police horse before a game.
On August 16, Shaun Allen attended a match at Bolton's Reebok Stadium to watch his hometown team Stoke City play the Bolton Wanderers.
Allen was drinking outside the stadium with a group of Stoke fans when a police officer approached and confiscated his beer can. In a scene reminiscent of the film Blazing Saddles, Allen punched the horse and ran off only to be captured by police a short time later.

now what good could come from punching a horse... That just doesn't make sense like I have said before Darwin's law should be showing up here real soon.

Is there any news on the well-being of the horse?
