It's that time again boys and girls...Last
week was a horrible, horrible week for the Sports Hut as far as picks
are concerned. I will say, I knew the picks that I made last week were
very gutsy to begin with, so I don't have much to complain about. I
even went out on a limb and said the Eagles would take the Patriots
down ON THE ROAD. I know, I know. In my defense, the Eagles put up more
than decent fight. This week I will return to picking as I normally
would. So here they are: my week 13 NFL picks.
                                                *****************************

***San Fransisco 49ers @ Carolina Panthers: Woooooeee!
San Fransisco had quite a win last Sunday did they not? Frank Gore and
company showed signs of life. Carolina still looks and plays like crap.
This is a tough one for me, but I am going to take the 49ers on the
road in this one.
PICK: San Fransisco 49ers
***Buffalo Bills @ Washington Redskins: As well as the Bill's have been playing lately...this one is for Sean Taylor. Redskins will win at home this week.
PICK: Washington Redskins
***Houston Texans @ Tennessee Titans: The
Titans have had a tough string of games, but I don't think this is
going to be one of them Vince Young and company look to bounce back at
home this week, and I think they will do it.
Pick: Tennessee Titans
***Atlanta Falcons @ St. Louis Rams: The
Rams looked decent against my Seahawks last week, but I'm not sure how
good they really are. Given last weeks near-win I will give them the
benefit of the doubt and take them at home against a struggling Falcons
team.
PICK: St. Louis Rams
***Seattle Seahawks @ Philadelphia Eagles: Hmmmm...the Eagles looked really good last week. This is a really tough one for me. The Seahawks haven't been particularly good on the road either. However, the
Seahawks will be getting Shaun Alexander back this week...and Matt
Hasselbeck says he is feeling the best he has all season coming into
this game. I gotta do it guys.
PICK: Seattle Seahawks
***Detroit Lions @ Minnesota Vikings: I
don't see the Lions winning this one. Minnesota was dominant in New
York last week and I don't think even Jon Kitna has the power to stop
them at home. I got the Vikings in this one.
PICK: Minnesota Vikings
***Jacksonville Jaguars @ Indianapolis Colts: Even
though David Garrard hasn't thrown and interception this season, that
doesn't mean he hasn't lost. Yes the Jaguars look better this season
and have a good quarterback. No they won't beat the re-surging Colts on
the road. Sorry guys.
PICK: Indianapolis Colts
***San Diego Chargers @ Kansas City Chiefs: This
is going to be really difficult for the Chargers this week. I'm not
sure if the Chargers are back to form as they claim to be. I have very
much taken the stance that a lot of people from southern California
have: wait and see.
PICK: Kansas City Chiefs
***New York Jets @ Miami Dolphins: God help them both.
PICK: Miami Dolphins
***Denver Broncos @ Oakland Raiders: Yeah.....Denver...again,
don't kick to Hester. Ok moving on, the Raiders are simply not good
enough to beat a decent Broncos squad.
PICK: Denver Broncos
***Cleveland Browns @ Arizona Cardinals: Another
really good game to watch this week. I can only hope the NFL decides to
broadcast it. I do think the Browns have what it take to win this one
on the road.
PICK: Cleveland Browns
***Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints: Another
game that I'm not sure what to think. Tampa Bay's offense almost
completely relies on Jeff Garcia, while New Orleans' offense almost
completely relies on Drew Brees. Blech. Whatever Quarterback has the
better game is apparently the team that will win this one. I'm flipping
a coin. Heads, TB wins, Tails NO wins. Here we go. Heads.\
PICK: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
***New York Giants @ Chicago Bears: HINT: DO NOT KICK TO HESTER. Other
than that the Giants should be ok, as long as Eli Manning can deciphers
the jersey colors. Could be a confusing week for him.
PICK: New York Giants
***Cinncinati Bengals @ Pittsburgh Steelers: Hope
your field is in one piece Pittsburgh. After last weeks embarrassing
mud-fest, you have some making up to do. I think that Bengals may take
this one on the road after Pittsburgh's short week.
PICK: Cincinnati Bengals
***New England Patriots @ Baltimore Ravens: The
time has come the walrus said, to speak of many things....the blueprint
has been laid out. The defense is decent. The offense can be productive
when it wants to be. It's at home. Its on Monday Night. Its time.
PICK: BALTIMORE RAVENS
