Hello! and welcome back to the
Sports Hut for my week 13 NFL power rankings. Another interesting week
in g the league. Some teams have moved around this week in my eyes
after seeing a number of poor performances, and a bunch of really good
ones as well. So here are my rankings along with an explanation for
each.

WEEK 13 NFL POWER RANKINGS

1) New England Patriots (11-0): Alright.
I have already aired my issues with the Patriots in one of the Quick
Take posts. I don't think this team is unbeatable, but they are
unbeaten.

2) Green Bay Packers (10-1): Green
Bay is a really fun team to watch right now. I put them at number 2
because I feel that they have the most complete team of anyone in the
NFL other than the Patriots. Their offense is dominant. Their defense
is dominant. They truly are firing on all cylinders the past few weeks.
I pick Green Bay to get the W in Dallas on Thursday. Damn the NFL
network for making that game unavailable to the general public!

3) Indianapolis Colts (9-2): The Colts are back. End of story.

4) Dallas Cowboys (10-1):
I have already taken a lot of flak from friends about putting Dallas at
number 4. I'm just not convinced that they are as complete a team as
the first three I have listed. Everyone is playing well, and god knows
Romo is having a great season. This game against Green Bay will say a
lot about where they truly are as a football team. Until then, they
rest at number 4.

5) Jacksonville Jaguars (8-3): A
really good looking team at the moment. David Garrard is having
possibly his best season to date. This is a team to watch out for in
the playoffs.

6) Pittsburgh Steelers (8-3): What
an embarrassment for the Steelers this week. Their field looked
absolutely horrible on Monday Night Football this week. It wasn't fair
to EITHER team to play in those conditions. I'm not sure what to think
of that game. I don't know if Miami stepped up, or if the conditions
had everything to do with it. We may never know.

7) Seattle Seahawks (7-4):
Good week for the Seahawks. Great win against the Rams on Sunday. It
showed a lot of heart to be down 19-7 and then shut the Rams out in the
second half on defense. The Hawk's were able to stop St. Louis on a 4
and goal 3 times before the fumble occurred. Big test this week in
Philly.

8) Cleveland Browns (7-4): The
reason I have the Browns at number 8 is because as good as they are
playing, I'm not sure they will even get the chance to get to the
playoffs! It really depends on how things finish in the AFC. That's the
curse of playing in a conference of really great football teams. Keep
and eye out though.

9) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-4): Jeff
Garcia continues to be a driving force for Tampa Bay. Garcia will need
to continue driving if this team is going to go anywhere in the
playoffs. The only problem I see with Tampa Bay right now is that the
offense almost completely relies on Garcia.

10) San Diego Chargers (6-5): It
will be rough for an already-terrible-on-the-road Chargers team to go
into Arrowhead this week and beat the pissed off Chiefs (who managed to
lose at home to the Oakland Raiders last week). 1-4 on the road doesn't
exactly inspire confidence in my picking the Chargers to win this one.

11) Tennessee Titans (6-5): Tennessee
has lost a couple games  over the past few weeks. They don't look good.
They aren't playing well. At least Vince young knows who plays on his
team, unlike the next team in the rankings.

12) New York Giants (7-4): My
"Blech" vote of the week goes to Eli Manning and the Giants. This is a
team that was starting to look much better on both sides of the ball
before the route at home by the Minnesota Vikings at home
this week. Manning threw 4 interceptions (3 of which were returned for
touchdowns) while his brother Payton sat in the crowd looked on. He was
probably wondering if Eli was adopted. Bounce back Eli.

13) Detroit Lions (6-5): Not
much to say here. Kitna hasn't looked as impressive the past couple
weeks. His offense needs him right now. Another team to watch.

14) Philadelphia Eagles (5-6): Whatever
demon soul possessed the Eagles this week, I like it. Any team that can
put up numbers like that on the Patriots, is a team I like (except this
week when they play Seattle). And so the quarterback controversy
begins. Is Feeley a better fit than McNabb? I say.....nah. Although he
did an absolutely amazing job this past week, McNabb is battle tested
and proved.

15) New Orleans Saints (5-6): Here
come the Saints. Wow, did not see this one coming. After the horrible
start to the season the Saints MAY actually find themselves in the
playoffs. What is the NFL coming to?

16) Chicago Bears (5-6): Hester.
Nice. Props to Rex Grossman for getting his team down the field when it
counted. Hate the guy all you want, he's managing the game well.

17) Denver Broncos (5-6): Don't. Kick. To. Hester. Doesn't get much more simple than that. Next time you think about it, remember this past Sunday. Don't. Kick. To. Hester.

18) Arizona Cardinals (5-6): Tough loss to a team they had no business losing to at home. Hey Arizona, protect your quarterback.

19) Washington Redskins (5-6): I
don't know how the Redskins will respond to the tragic loss of Sean
Taylor (safety) this week. I don't think anyone expects them to come
out at 100% this week. The NFL community needs to understand how tough
this must be for everyone affected. Football is just a game, and there
are bigger things for the Redskins organization to address this week.

20) Minnesota Vikings (5-6): Looking
pretty decent in that win against New York on the road. A very
inconsistent team right now though. Not sure what to think about these
guys.
