The 2009 Student Partnership Worldwide (SPW) Hyde Park Triathlon took place this weekend (Sunday 26th). This exclusive and popular sprit triathlon, organized by Across the Divide, was once again a great success with 227 competitors taking part in this sunny spring morning.

Some were elite athletes; many were novices out for some healthy fundraising challenge in Britain’s greatest park. The race consists of a 400m swim in the Serpentine, 15km on the bike on South Carriage Drive and finally a 5km run through the leafy paths in the park.

The men’s winner was Tyler O’Callaghan in a time of 50:21:6. First woman was Louise Bartlett in 1:03:45:1. The fastest team was Team Jean in 55:20.8. Well done to all who took part.

This event is SPW’s main annual fundraiser and we look forward to seeing more people joining in next spring - contact Across the Divide for more details
