Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, music band Colonial Cousins, Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhu Deva and American singer and actress Katy Perry are all set to make the IPL 2012 a grand ceremony with their amazing performances. With everyone waiting to enjoy each and every moment of fun, fireworks and glamour at the event in Chennai. But it is being learnt that that Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Ruk Khan will give a miss to this year’s IPL opening ceremony. The reason for SRK’s absence is that he is currently focusing on Yash Raj’s upcoming film in which his co-star is Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif. Well, it’s too early to say that whether SRK will actually make it for the opening ceremony of IPL or not. And just in case if he does not show up then we will have another reason to cite his absence and that is “SRK-Salman’s old rivalry” .Let’s wait and watch till the IPL ceremony’s curtains are raised to know whether SRK turns up for the grand event or not.

IPL 2012 T20 tournament will be played for 54 days starting from April 4, 2012 to May 27, 2012. During this time 9 teams will play 76 matches in 12 different cities of the country.
