Steelers Fans Celebrate Super Bowl Win: Some Reports of Fires
Thousands of Steelers fans took to the streets of Pittsburgh to celebrate their team's sixth Super Bowl win.
Yellow confetti floated through the air as celebrations broke out on East Carson Streets moments after the Steelers beat the Cardinals 27-23 in Super Bowl XLIII. Other neighborhoods broke out fireworks and partied into the night.
Some fans, however, weren't so well-behaved. Firefighters were called into the district of Oakland to put out several fires set by revelers.
Thousands of people marched through the streets of Pittsburgh before reaching a police blockade. Several fans clashed with police before ultimately turning back. Other revelers destroyed bus shelters and garbage receptacles and overturned cars.
Pittsburgh Police, who were out in force on Sunday night, reported about 100 arrests and several minor injuries.
