Sanchez threw his heart out. Roethlisberger took his licks and Mendenhall stole the show.

With the terrible towels waving in a sea of yellow on a night unfit for humans to be outdoors, those poor players slugged it out with the Steelers appearing to embrace the cold home field advantage more than the New Yorkers.

With 3:47 remaining and the Jets on the Pittsburgh six yard line, it is approaching game over if Sanchez can’t score. Let’s see.

OK, Jets scored big and now it is 24 to 19 Pittsburgh.

Jets have to get the ball back on an onside kick to save the game.

Let’s see.

There is 3:06 on the clock and the folks at home are finishing beers and are out of chips and dip.

No onside kick from the jets. They booted it 56 yards and it was returned 27 so the Steelers are in good shape.

Jets called a time out at 2:50.

“Is it over yet, I want to watch my show, I hate football,” she says?

Hang on; the Jets are about to crash.

Steelers are on the move, Roethlisberger threw for 14 yards.

Jets stalled with another time out.

Don’t you hate it when that happens in a hopeless situation?

Mendenhall for two yards. (Hey, get up slow and keep it on the field!)

2:00 minute warning.

Pittsburgh Steelers versus Greenbay Packers just like the old days. This is a good match because we won’t have two teams with green in the uniforms out there.

One more first down will ice this game. (Pun intended as it is 4 degrees.)

Man, Ben landed another 14 yards. Maybe they really want one more score.

Woops. Lost five yards.

1:08, Ben takes a knee.

End of Game. Steelers.

The score looks close, but it wasn't. A 24 to 12 score more closely describes this matchup. It was a 2:1 advantage to Pittsburgh.
