Steve McNair Tribute

Police in Nashville are trying to gain a better understanding of the relationship between deceased NFL star Steve McNair and Sahel Kazemi, the woman who killed alongside the former Tennessee Titans quarterback.

Kazemi and McNair were found dead yesterday in a Nashville condominium. McNair's body was found dead on a sofa while Kazemi's body lay close by on the floor. Kazemi seems to have suffered a single gunshot wound while McNair had several bullet wounds. A gun was found near Kazemi's body. Police came to the scene after receiving a 911 call from Robert Gaddy, a friend of McNair.

Steve McNair and Sahel Kazemi were seen together just two days before their death when Kazemi arrested on DUI charges while driving a car registered in McNair's name.

McNair and Kazemi apparently knew each other from Dave & Buster’s, a local restaurant where McNair used to go to with his family. Police refuse to say whether Sahel Kazemi was Steve McNair's girlfriend, stating simply that they were friends.

Police later admitted that it appears that the Steve McNair and Sahel Kazemi were dating.

A police spokesman, Don Aaron, also told The Associated Press that McNair, 36, and the woman, Sahel Kazemi, 20, had been in a “dating relationship for past several months.” McNair and his wife, Mechelle, had four sons.

TMZ has managed to unearth some Steve McNair-Sahel Kazemi pics.

As for Steve McNair's wife, Mechelle McNair, police have stated that they think she wasn't involved in the deaths of McNair and Sahel Kazemi. Kazemi's sister Sepide Salmani has said that Steve and Mechell McNair appeared to be heading towards a divorce.

"She said he was about to get a divorce very soon, about two weeks, I guess, and they were going to move in together," said Salmani.

Autopsies on both bodies are planned for Sunday.

In the history of pro-sport I don't think anyone has come as close to winning a championship without actully doing so as Steve McNair did in 99'. Less than a yard. Less than a yard.

so you're saying it's ok to cheat on your wife. It's a sad situation that maybe if he wasn't involved with we would still be talking about his accomplishments.

It is NOT o.k to cheat on your wife. But it does not constitute the death penalty. I have sympathy for someone who, although he made mistakes, did much good in his life too. A lot of people cheat, but in this country you are not given death for it. Because someone shot him, whatever the motive, does not mean he deserved it because of infidelity. If someone wants to bring up someones personal life and mistakes, the time to do that is not after their death when they cannot defend themselves. Just a little respect.

I have been a fan of McNair's for many years...Oilers..Titans..Ravens. I think that it is so unfortunate that his life ended and in such a sad way. My husband just recently died of natural causes, and one thing I have learned is the mistakes that we make in life may come around to end our life here at any time, in the wink of an eye. The important thing is the deeds and people that we leave behind. I hope that all of his good efforts and accomplishments are not marred by this one error. For those of you that think adultery is inevitable, I feel sorry for you, animals may not have the ability to make choices when and with whom they have sex, but thinking people do. Some are just too weak to to make the commitment. My husband was not a talented athelete, but I thank God he was strong enough to keep commitments and control his animal urges. My heart goes out to his wife and family.

We'll always speak on his accomplishments as well as the sad situation.  The thing is we need to be careful out here because this could happen to anyone.  If we're not honest with ourselves how can we be honest with others.  I don't think he was considering divorce, but men will tell women whatever.  She was old enough to understand that point.  Which is he has a wife and kids.  She went in this situation thinking she got him.  It's very sad....and this was a senseless murder.  She purchased a gun so she planned to murder him because he wasn't leaving his wife.  Ladies we need to stop thinking our stuff is so good if he ain't marrying you he don't want you that bad. Men you'll need to stop lying to yourself about the women you creep with and play with.  Grass is never greener on the other side....what looks good ain't good for you. STOP THE MADNESS....WAKE UP PEOPLE!

I can't believe it's 2009 and some of us still can't distinguish different nationalities! The whole middle easterns are not arabs. We don't call all europians british or sweedish or whatever. my point is iranians are persian from Iran and they don't have honor killings , they're very open minded or else she wouldn't have told her sister or her aunt about her relationship. what the hell does even race matter when he should have put his family first before thinking about his own pleaser?

Sorry sweetheart, she comes from a race/religeon that doesn't hesitate to kill someone because they don't get along with them. She probably called him an Infidel right before she shot him. This should be considered a terrorist action. It's a simple Suicide Murder.

STEVE ISN'T THE FIRST PERSON WHO HAS CHEATED ON THIS EARTH. NO ONE KNOWS WHAT GOES ON BEHIND CLOSE DOORS WITH ANYONE RELATIONSHIP. SO DONT TRY AND DOG THE MAN OUT,BECAUSE HE WAS CHEATING. ITS OVER AND DONE WITH NOW, I BET HE HATE HE DID IT. SO JUST LET THE MAN REST IN PEACE AND PRAY FOR HIS FAMILY AND THOSE FOUR KIDS THAT HE LEFT BEHIND.
