    Head coach of the Phoenix Suns Terry Porter was fired today, just 4 months after he was hired. His assistant coach Alvin Gentry will replace him on a interim basis. The Suns' are the eighth team to fire a coach this season, meaning more than one-quarter of the leagues coaches have been fired before the All Star Game that took place yesterday.

    Phoenix who is 28-23 this season lost 5 of 8 games heading into this weekend and trails Utah by one game for the eighth and final playoffs spot.
