Super Bowl 44 Odds: Patriots Favored To Win It All in 2010
Well, that didn't take long. No sooner did the Pittsburgh Steelers win Super Bowl 43 in Tampa Bay, oddsmakers have set odds for who will win Super Bowl 44, which will be held in Miami on Feb. 7, 2010.
Any bet made on a team winning the Super Bowl months before the season even starts is considered a longshot. That being said, the New England Patriots are considered the odds-on favorites with an 8 to 1 chance of winning Super Bowl 44 in 2010.
The odds are surprising when you consider the Pats failed to make the playoffs this season. Oddsmakers are clearly expecting quarterback Tom Brady to make a strong return after almost all of last season to a knee injury.
At the bottom of the list, the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions are 100 to 1 longshots for winning the Super Bowl in 2010.
Here is a complete list of Super Bowl XLIV odds:
New England Patriots 8/1
Dallas Cowboys 9/1
New York Giants 10/1
Pittsburgh Steelers 10/1
Indianapolis Colts 12/1
San Diego Chargers 12/1
Baltimore Ravens 14/1
Tennessee Titans 16/1
Carolina Panthers 18/1
Philadelphia Eagles 18/1
New Orleans Saints 20/1
Atlanta Falcons 25/1
Denver Broncos 25/1
Green Bay Packers 25/1
Jacksonville Jaguars 25/1
Minnesota Vikings 25/1
New York Jets 25/1
Arizona Cardinals 30/1
Chicago Bears 30/1
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30/1

I think Vegas might be overlooking that our (Pats) defense is getting older and we still need to improve our secondary. Not to mention if Brady will be healthy.

A lot still depends on the QB situation. And the Defense needs an upgade. New blood is really needed. But add 1 or 2 rookies like Mayo and the Pats should be able to make at least the playoffs again.

Kind of strange two teams who did not make the playoffs this year are favored. I understand the Patriots but what have the Cowboys shown to make you think they can win it?
Here are the Teams that are better, not more popular than Dallas:
Patriots, Steelers, Colts, Giants, Eagles, Ravens, Panthers, Falcons, Texans, Packers, Titans, Chargers, Cardinals
Cowboys have shown nothing to make us think they can even make the playoffs

The Cardinals at 30 to 1. I definitel don't think that they are going to have near the season they had this year (they likely will miss the playoffs) but give them some respect!

The Steelers, without question will not only go but will win Superbowl 44. Everyone is back, Mendenhall will return from injury and he an outstanding runner and above all you can't forget the Tomlin factor. At such a young age (as head coaches go) this man is a fantastic coach with tremendous football knowledge. Go STEELERS!!!!!!

You wish! With Brady out last year all that did was give teams like the Steelers a chance to win. Now that Tom Brady aka Superman will return this year it will also be back to winning Superbowls for us. Enjoy your win....for now!

Chargers are making a bounce back this year. Theyre going to keep LT and he's going to explode as well as Phillip Rivers and the WR. San Diego has something to prove to me and I'm a die-hard fan, I think this is the year.

The Redskins will be a force to recond with in 2009, with Albert Haynesworth added to our Defense and DeAngelo Hall at CB. Our Offense will be better with Dockery back on the O-Line, and then Portis will have a monster season, and Campbell will be better since he knows the system and doesn't have to learn a whole new system again, he will run the West Coast very well at QB, with Santana Moss, Randle El, Thrash, Thomas, and now Malcolm Kelly will be able to contribute, don't forget Chris Cooley, and i believe Fred Davis will play alot this year as well. Skins has an easy schedule with the Lions, Chiefs, Raiders, Rams, and Saints. The skins will Win the NFC East and will go to the Super Bowl.

I think that the cheifs will have a better chance to win more games than last since they have better, and newer rookies, but the new division their in will demolish them.

Dallas as one of the favorites????? Isn't this the same team that hasn't one a playoff game in over a decade? I wouldn't give too much creedance to these early odds.

I am saying it now, do not make the common mistake. The Cincinatti Bengals are the best longshot team on this list, and it will not be because of the Carson Palmer lead Offense. It will ride on the coat-tails of a Defense that was very close to pitching 3 shut-outs to end the 2009 season, and still has added the like's of Tank Johnson (back to a 4-3, where he was excellent) , Roy Williams (back to coach zimmer, where he was incredible) and what could quite possibly be one of the best linebacker tandems we have seen in the NFL in some time. Not to mention what could be the strength of the defense, Leon Hall and Jonathon Joseph at corners. Dont get me wrong, it will not be possible without Palmer's steady hand, and a stable running game. But at

If you are a TRUE fan of the NFL, you'd know better than to take these odds seriously! I mean c'mon, how do you predict how the rookies and free agent signings will pan out? Steelers aren't returning EVERYBODY as someone earlier claims. Didn't they lose the Haynesworth superbowl MVP guy? I don't like the Cowboys having such good odds because 1) they really haven't earned it, 2) I want more money when we do win it all, and 3) IT JUST GIVES ALL THE OTHER FANS ANOTHER REASON TO HATE THE COWBOYS!! (Not that you need another, being the most loved team in the world is enough). Don't blame us fans for the odds, we aren't the ones making them. Remember, it's these so called "EXPERTS" you should be upset with! I think their odds should be more like 30:1, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do win it all. Wishful thinkin I guess.

Before last year, when was the last time the Arizona Cardinals won an NFC Championship? That didn't prevent them from making the Superbowl for the first time. Stranger things have happened. Even at the beginning of the playoffs, its still anyones guess on who will win it all. A lot of wildcard teams (Including the Steelers) have won the superbowl in recent past. Its not always the strongest team before or during the season that takes it all. History doesn't count for anything when talkin about the future. If history meant so much, explain the Giants 2 years ago. Where'd they come from? Or even your vaunted Steelers, before 2006, in the 26 years since their last Superbowl win in 1980, the only Superbowl appearance they made was that loss in 1996. Wheres the pattern their? If you were so smart, you'd on TV, getting paid for your valued opinion. Stop acting like such geniuses.

I'M A COLTS FAN AND I BELIEVE THAT WHAT THEY ARE DOIN ON DEFENSE WILL SURPASS THEM OVER EVERYONE TO WIN THE SUPERBOWL. THE ONLY TEAM THAT CAN STOP THE COLTS ARE THE STEELERS. THEM DAMN STEELERS ARE TOO GOOD. IT'S EITHER THE COLTS OR STEELERS

the Pats will win every game this season ending in Miami. Tell me which team is going to beat them ???

Come on guys,,,the only reason the steelers went to the playoffs was because Brady missed the season. Take a look at this years Pats line up,,,the very best team ever. Big Ben got lucky again when Tom went down. His luck runs out this season,,just watch. Romo will be injured and only play half the season and drink beer with his lover and never return. McNabb can't handle the big teams like the Pats and the Giants think they don't smell like the rest of the league $$$.Bills have TO but that's about all and the Vikings are still confused or pissed at Favre to get it together. Colts and Ravens are maybe's only and that is all there is !
********************** Go Pats Go************************
I would put my money on the Pats to win over the Cardinals for the 2010 Super Bowl Pats 44,,,,,,,,,,Cards 24

Brady is the only decent player the patsies have, we all seen last year what the patsies are without Brady, Brady is a system quarterback..get in his face hes like all the rest...Steelers will repeat, seeing as the Steelers are the only team to repeat twice, they will be the only team to repeat three times....I always chuckle when I go on the Patsies web site, they have big and bold Home of the 3 time world champs, big deal, Steelers been there and done that 30 years ago..lol

I dont get why people act like now that tom bradys back the patriots are so great, they have an average d at best and doesnt anyone rememeber carson palmer after he got the same injury in 05 he hasnt been the same since, i think that brady will come back and play great though and will lead his team to the afc championship, where they will fall in the 4th quarter to the steelers in pitt then the steelers will go on to play brett favre and the vikings, the steelers will then take peterson out of the game by taking an early lead and win it to be the first team to win 7 superbowls andfinally convince people the ben is an elite qb (best winning % in first 5 season in nfl history)
