Superbowl Prop Bets Let You Bet on Cheerleaders, Jennifer Hudson
What would the Super Bowl be without betting? The NFL's championship game is the most wagered on sporting event in the world with billions of dollars switching hands between bettors and legal and illegal gambling houses. There is no greater sign of the level of gambling on the Super Bowl than the various Super Bowl 43 prop.
While most sports fans put their money on relatively straightforward wagers, an entire industry has arisen for people who want to bet on everything from the national anthem, the coin flip, and even the cheerleaders.
Among the leaders in prop bets is Bodog, a Vancouver-based company that is taking wagers on anything even tangentially connected to Super Bowl 43.
Bodog is taking wagers on how many food references broadcaster John Madden will make during the telecast. The over/under currently stands at 1.5 (if I were a betting man, I'd take the over since Madden seems to be obsessed with hot dogs, bratwurst, and pretty much every other type of sausage.
You can also bet on how many times NBC will show Kurt Warner's wife Brenda watching the game from the stands. The over/under on that is 3.5 (once again, I'd take the over. If there's one thing we've learned, it's that Brenda Warner has never met a camera she didn't like.)
Then there's the national anthem. You can wager on how long it will take singer Jennifer Hudson to get through the Star-Spangled Banner. The line right now is at 1:54 (If you ask me, that's too close to call.)
Here's a more complete list of Bodog's Super Bowl XLIII prop bets:

Thanks for sharing this post! For the National Football League fans, it might be a time of great mourning, as John Madden will grace the small screen no more. Sadly, John Madden will be retiring from broadcasting games and from other activities. Madden is among the greats of sports broadcasters. His coverage never needed credit repair for his knowledge of the game. Madden is also in the National Football League Hall of Fame as the head coach of the Oakland Raiders, who never had a losing season during his tenure and which included a Super Bowl victory. Chris Collinsworth is slated to take over for him, bu many would give personal loans to keep John Madden at his post.
