Rowdy hockey fans delayed the start of a Swedish hockey game by throwing dozens of dildos onto the ice. Fans of the Stockholm-based AIK team also taunted an opponent with obscene banners, profanity-filled chants, and a giant inflatable penis.

The dildos and other paraphernalia were targeted at Leksand defenseman Jan Huokko, who was involved in a sex scandal when a sexually explicit video of him and his girlfriend was posted on the internet.

Prior to AIK's matchup with Leksand, an AIK fan website asked fans to bring dildos to the game to remind Huokko of the scandal.  Prior to the game, fans threw dozen of dildos onto the ice, causing a brief delay as the sex toys were shoveled off the ice.

Huokko shrugged off the incident after the game, which Leksand lost 3-2. So too did hockey officials in Sweden, a country known for its liberal attitude towards sex.

Lars G. Karlsson, an official from Sweden’s ice hockey association, called the sex-toy storm “a non-issue”.

“It didn’t affect play at all. People barely noticed it,” he said.
