The No.18 ranked Syracuse outlasted the No.3 Connecticut 127-117 in a game for the ages at Madison Square Garden. The game went into 6 OTs and ended at 1:22am which took 3 hours and 46 minutes to complete. The second-longest game in college basketball history combined for 244 points, 102 came in Overtime.

The only previous triple-overtime game in Big East tournament history was when Syracuse beat Villanva 83-80 in the 1981 championship game.

Syracuse and Connecticut played a game for the ages Thursday night and into early Friday. When it was over, everybody in Madison Square Garden was exhausted and, except for the losing team, exhilarated.
