Two important matches are going to be played today. First involving Pakistan and New Zealand that will start within the half an hour and the other between India and England. Both the matches are going to get lots of eyeballs as cricket obsessed South Asian nations are going to be glued to their television sets. But India and England match is sort of inconsequential as both the teams have already qualified for the next round, Pakistan are opening their T20 World Cup campaign with today’s match against New Zealand.

But despite being inconsequential, the match is certainly going to be very interesting as the top two contenders of the tournament will be fighting out. Meanwhile there is sort of a newfound rivalry between India and England on the cricket field and both will like to win the match at any cost.

Indian bowling is certainly not in great shape as is its fielding. But with several batsmen including Virat Kohli in great shape, the team expects to win the tournament on its batting skills. Another great sign for the team Indian is return of form for Irfan Pathan who has impressed cricket fans and critics in recent months.

Another good sign for India is the impressive comeback of Yuvraj Singh. The man who was battling cancer till just a few months ago has made a dream comeback for any player in the given circumstances. He is more responsible and seems to be avoiding parties and binge that had adverse affect on him many a times.

In the meantime Indian fans are expecting their star players to improve their game substantially. A reader says, “I think this match even though not have any bearing on the result I feel England may play better to win it. The Indian openers especially Shewag need to his improve his game to neutralise the opponents. But the Indian Bowling especially Zaheer looks pedestrian. He has bowled without imagination in a 20/20 over format which the commentators picked him time and again. He needs to be rested and somebody else should be given a chance-like Balalj or Dhinda. I feel Bhajji still needs a chance even though he has not done much-he may compensate with a useful cameo on needy occasions. I am sorry Zac you need to sit out for some time. But MS wont agree with us the supporters”.
