The 2012 T20 World Cup fever is all set to take over the world. The 12 teams will be divided into 4 groups. The top 2 teams in each group will qualify to the next stage - the Super Eight stage, where they will be divided into 2 groups of four teams each. The top 2 teams in each of the groups will then qualify for the semi-finals, followed by the final. 

The following points system will apply in Points Table of T20 World Cup 2012: 
Win: 2 Tie or no result: 1 Loss: 0 
Each win gives a team 2 points, while an abandoned match means each team will be given a point each. The team that loses gets nothing. However, in case of a tie, the points are not divided and a Super Over decides the winner. This is applicable in all matches of the tournament - group as well as Super Eight. 
Super Over: In case of a tied match, each team nominates three batsmen and a bowler. The team that scores the most in that over wins the match. In case of tie, the team that has hit the maximum number of sixes wins.
