Taufik Hidayat Akbar passes qualification round of Denmark Open

Taufik got a bye at his second match as Joachim Persson of Denmark moved on directly to the final round of the qualification round after getting promotion to the main round.

Taufik had to play a rubber set before confirming to get the ticket for the main round after defeating another host shuttler Jens Kristian Leth 21-11, 17-21 and 21-19.

In the main round which started on Wednesday, the world`s 202 rank will meet Korean Park Sung Hwan and meet with runner-up of the World Cup Sony Dwi Kuncoro in the second round if he wins the game.

Two Indonesian women`s doubles, namely Nitya Krishinda/Lita Nurlita and Meiliana Jauhari/Shendy Puspita also managed to move on to the main round of the tournament.
