Taylor Mattingly, the son of former New York Yankees slugger Don Mattingly, has been arrested for assaulting his mother Kim Mattingly.

Taylor Mattingly, who was drafted by the Yankees in the 42nd round of the 2003 draft, has been charged with battery, battery by bodily waste, and criminal mischief after he reportedly shoved his mother and spit in her face.

A police report states that Taylor confronted Kim Mattingly after he received a text message from her that insulted him and his girlfriend. Taylor Mattingly was reportedly so angry that he jumped a brick fence to enter his mother's property in Evansville, Indiana.

Taylor Mattingly then smashed a patio table and other furniture on Kim's property. He was reportedly upset after Kim Mattingly cut off his cable TV.

Kim Mattingly has had problems of her own. In 2008, Kim Mattingly was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct after she refused to leave Don Mattingly's property. Don and Kim Mattingly divorced in November 2007.

I would hate to be the policemen walking in on this one!  There is a lot of pain to cause this

kind of violence.  It is horrible .  Drugs or alcohol are almost always involved that take all

their defenses away ..then the shit flies!!  I hope they both can get some counseling.

Long term. 12 step, al anon.  ACA...lotsa free stuff out there but it takes surrender and humility

to go.

No amount of fame or money can take away pain from dysfunction and mental problems.
