There are going to be twelve nations participating in the T20 world cup tournament. Ten of the nations are already of the test playing status. The remaining two teams, Ireland and Afghanistan ahs qualified for the tournament through a qualifier tournament held earlier this year. Ireland had been the champion if the tournament while Afghanistan had been the runners up.
