Tebow Talent and Tebow Faith
The starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos, Tim Tebow, is discussed extensively around the nation for his ability to pull off last minute, long awaited victories for Denver, bringing back pride for Colorado natives during the 2011 football season. What may be an even hotter topic than Tebow’s talent is his Christian faith and popular pose known as “tebowing,” which is depicted by individuals around the world on television, Facebook, and Twitter.
Tebow’s continual mention of his Christian values in interviews and frequent demonstration of praise to his lord on the field has sparked interest in fans and commentators. The level of conversation about Tebow’s religious actions demonstrates football fans’ surprise to find a highly devoted player in the NFL. In my opinion, Tim Tebow’s humble manner and grateful attitude is exactly what this ego driven sport has needed in order to provide a positive model for younger viewers.
The homeschooled son of a pastor has led the Broncos to an 8-7 record so far, with 7 wins and 3 losses under his belt after a rough 1-4 start by Kyle Orton. Now quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, Orton will be making his way back to Denver on Sunday, January 1st to face his replacement in a vital game for the Broncos. Since Tebow hasn’t been able to make a miraculous win the past two games, faith in Denver’s quarterback is essential for a chance to make it to the playoffs.
Bronco Nation highlights their leader’s genuine demeanor and is craving more Tebow talent this Sunday. The most talked about player this season must be feeling the pressure from fans, but Tebow should know that no matter the outcome, he has lifted the spirits of Bronco supporters around Colorado and around the nation.
