Tendulkar is supporting the governments decision of canceling the tour on the ground of security. But the under tone of the king of cricket was definitely in favour of cricket, but not at the cost of players life.He has proven himself several times in the field while playing with pakistan but the situation is totally different out of field, the players are terrorist who do not know the rule of the game. They just want to kill at any cost.

Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar on Thursday said that he respects the Government's decision to call off Pakistan tour in the

wake of the recent Mumbai terror attacks.

Tendulkar, who is on a vacation with his family in Mussoorie, said that he respected the government's decision as the attacks were larger in scale than any cricket tour or any other sports.

"The Mumbai attacks were unfortunate in which many people lost their lives. Whatever happened is bigger than any cricket tour or any other sports event for that matter. The loss will be difficult to repair soon because only those who have suffered can feel the loss of a family member," he added.

India on Friday called off cricket team's tour to Pakistan scheduled to be held in January-February 2009. India was scheduled to play three Tests, five One-dayers and a Twenty20 match during their tour of Pakistan from January 4 to February 28.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had all along maintained that it was for the government to decide on the fate of the tour.

Thats right, sense of insecurity cannot bring harmony, this kind of towing down to threats will not discourage terrorism rather give them a booster shot to dare to think some thing big and more dangerous.

this is not about skill ,

here the things which matter is the national pride.

by the way the main thing is that  he did't want to play and he want to give himself rest, so that he is happy.

well you are right, injuries and need for rest is also playing some role in this kind of decision.
