The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) cleared Tennessee running back Bryce Brown, who was suspended for 4 games. The issue was whether money was properly raised for Brown to visit colleges during his recruiting process.
Kiffin said the NCAA was ready to impose a four game suspension and what was called a "significant monetary" repayment. UT has been presenting other evidence to the NCAA all summer, and those penalties were waived.
Brown is now eligible to play for the Vols in the season opener on September 5 against Western Kentucky.
