Terry Glenn, Dallas Cowboy, Arrested on Charges of Auto Theft
Terry Glenn, former Dallas Cowboys receiver, was arrested yesterday on charges of auto theft. He was brought in to the Irving Jail at around 7pm last night and was released around 1am today.
Terry Glenn has not commented on the situation yet, but his attorney Luis Vera was furious over the charges his client received.
"It is the biggest crock of garbage," he said. "It pisses me off because this is not the first person I've had to represent who the rental car companies have done this to."
Vera said the matter was around a black Chevrolet Suburban that he says Terry Glenn returned from the National Car Rental at Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport. Terry had rented the car because his car was in the shop and the insurance company told him to go rent a car. Glenn did just before going to New York for the holidays.
"He wasn't even using it," Vera said of the Suburban. "He just left it parked there at his house."
When Terry got back from New York he was going to return the car and was pulled over in a routine traffic stop. The officers told him the car was reported as stolen and then they arrested him.
"He didn't steal anything; he didn't need to steal anything," Vera said.
"Terry's a good guy. He's already upset because he's getting beat up with this in the media."
Terry's three-year-old son was with him at the time.
