Argentine soccer star Carlos Tevez has chosen Manchester City as his preferred choice above Chelsea or Liverpool as his "Greener Pastures" next big kickoff.

Tevez,25,will transfer for 25.5 million British pounds from Manchester United to Manchester City on July 1.

He stands to earn 100,000 British pounds a week under the new five-year contract with City.

The lethal hitman can combine with fast forward Robinho to run circles and punch through any opposing side's defence to score goals.

Robinho,a member of Brazil National Team, who had earlier urged City boss Mark Hughes to pay the big bucks for Tevez,a member  of Argentina National Team, would form an effective one-two scoring attack spearhead with Tevez for City.

Tevez's two-year loan with Old Trafford ends on June 30.

He is the second soccer star after Cristiano Ronald to leave the Reds.

He is known to be unhappy with United boss Sir Alex Ferguson for keeping him waiting and pussy footing on a new United contract for him.

Besides Tevez,Manchester City also signed up Blackburn striker Santa Cruz,27, for 15 million British pounds and double his Blackburn weekly wage to 80,000 British pound a week.

Well, soccer stars are real big income-earners these days, never mind the global financial crisis, big bank busts or mass lay-offs.

And who says kicking a ball around, dribbling with it running up and down green pastures and hitting the net with roaring goals is a waste of time or no prospect-pay work?

Look at how Ronaldo and Kaka have gone laughing to the bank with huge million dollar deals.
No,come July 1,it's Tevez's turn to join them at the world's top soccer star earners table.
