Rest assured avid Baseball Nut Fidel Castro, who once played pro ball in the USA, before he became a Commie Whackjob, will certainly be outraged that Cuba's premier Ball players have defected.

Now numbering three of Cuba’s Star Baseball Players, with pitcher Raydel Sanchez joining earlier defectors starting pitcher Noel Arguelles and infielder Jose Iglesias, all believed to now be safely in hiding in South America, when they left Alberta, Canada this weekend.

In my Opinion, the USA Major League connections when looking for a few good men, I am sure has US Immigration help to assist them along through the US immigration on their way to South America.

Though they could be in the USA, it is said South America is a more likely destination.  Certainly a Coup, Castro wasn't counting on, where Cuban Ballpayer's in lieu of salary are treated like Rock Stars everywhere.  Guess the old adage, Money Talks, and Defectors Walk applies in this case.

US Baseball Scouts it is believed know where they are hiding in order to recruit them right back to the USA for Major League Tryouts, complete with Fame and Salaries beyond their Wildest Dreams.

Dreams that for every up and coming Ball Player here at home and especially Dirt Poor Cuban Ballplayers yearn for, and the prospects of joining Major League Ball, Fame, and Million Dollar salaries was just the incentive these Cuban Ballplayers needed to get the “Hell outta Dodge” for Greener Ball Fields.

Mark my words, in my Opinion, we shall soon be seeing these three in the USA Major Leagues, as I am sure USA Ball Scouts, have them safely ensconced in a South American country, with cash, nice accommodations, and promises for a better future, once the immigration paperwork is completed by the USA Major League’s Legal teams. Good for them.

EDMONTON - Another Cuban baseball player has gone missing in Edmonton, tournament officials said Saturday. The Cuban coach and team confirmed through team liaison Phyllis Pannebaker that the total number of missing players is three.

"The two (Noel Arguelles and Jose Iglesias) left, and the one left the next day," said Pannebaker on Saturday Rumours of the third defection have been swirling for days.

Tournament chairman and city councillor Ron Hayter was aware of the rumours Saturday, but said it's likely they're confusing three additional Cuban players defecting with three players defecting in total.
