Tiger Woods announced this morning that he will miss the rest of the 2008 golf season to undergo surgery to repair the torn ligament that has been plaguing him for the past 10 months.

Woods underwent arthroscopic surgery on his knee earlier this year, hoping to avoid season-ending ligament surgery. But after suffering through 91 holes at the U.S. Open this weekend, Woods finally decided to face the surgery and focus the rest of the year on rehabilitating his knee.

Crowdish, I like this story. It's good stuff. this just makes his win that much more impressive.
