''It was nice to play this well going into the U.S. Open,'' Woods said. ''This is how you have to hit it in order to win U.S. Opens.''

Tiger Woods staged a powerful comeback at the 2009 Memorial Golf Tournament in Dublin, Ohio on Sunday, winning the tournament with a -12 score. It is the second victory on the 2009 PGA Tour for Woods. Earlier this year, Woods won the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Woods had to miss much of the 2008 season after winning the U.S. Open last year to undergo reconstructive surgery on his left knee. From here on, the next step for Woods is defending his title at the 2009 U.S. Open at Bethpage Black, New York, June 15-21.

The Memorial Golf Tournament 2009 entered the final round on Sunday with Mark Wilson and Matt Bettencourt starting the day tied for first place at -9.  But it was Tiger Woods ending the day on top as he finished the last four holes birdie, bogey, birdie, birdie and finished the final round with a 7 under 65 to win the Memorial with a -12.  He had eagled the 11th hole earlier with an amazing chip shot from the rough that rolled in.

Tiger had some help from the leader Jonathan Byrd as he struggled at the end.
